As we start the school year out I want to remind you that when there is no school we do not have scouts. Enjoy the long weekend and we will meet again on September 8 for den meetings. Sign ups will close for the 9-11 Salute and Fall Campout on after September 1. If we do not have enough participation for the fall campout an alternate date and location will be determined. We will be doing a Kids Food Basket service night on December 15. Please sign up and add this event to your calendar as it will be in place of our regular den meeting. Keep saving those recyclables for the raingutter regatta. Anything that will float and fit in our track is acceptable and could make a great boat. Please bring these items to the event on September 15.

Committee meeting will be taking place at 6 pm ahead of den meetings on September 8. All adults interested in helping out or those who are interested in what we do are welcome to attend. These meetings are held once a month to go over plans for that month.

Hey Scout Families! We've updated the fall calendar with our schedule of events. The 9-11 Salute and fall campout are open for RSVPs. Please see the events for more details and to sign up. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped pull garlic mustard at Peace Park. For those interested, Cascade's volunteer program will host community garlic mustard pulls in Burton Park from 1:00-3:00 every Saturday in April and May, meeting at the Windcrest entrance off of Thornapple River Drive. No need to sign up, but do let us know if you attend. Scouts can earn service hours for assisting in the community at events like these.
